This trunk provides teachers with all the resources they need to teach their students about army life within frontier forts in the 1840s – the 1890s. It includes an army uniform, other clothing, bugle, canteen, medals, and other early soldier artifacts. It also includes a curriculum to help bring these artifacts to life.
Our education trunks are provided for free to all schools; for many schools, we will even ship the trunk to you for free! You can decide whether to pick up the trunk or have it shipped to your school.
Pick up and drop off at the museum is free to every school!
If your school is within Wyoming, but more than an hour from the museum, the museum will pay to ship the trunk to you. But, you must cover the cost of shipping back to the museum.
If your school is outside of Wyoming, you must cover the cost of shipping both ways.
The museum does not ship trunks to schools within an hour of the museum, but pick up is always available.
