Booking a Program

The Wyoming State Museum offers FREE educational programming for schools (and other organizations) across Wyoming, throughout the United States, and around the world! Last year, more than 14,000 students participated in our education programs! Your class can interact with the museum through our Education Trunks, On-Grounds Field Trips, and Virtual Field Trips.

On-Grounds Field Trips

The Wyoming State Museum delivers free On-Grounds Field Trips to more than 4,000 students a year. These classes utilize technology, human artifacts, animal biofacts, small group activities, and museum scavenger hunts to create world-class educational programming for students of all ages.

The Wyoming State Museum delivers free distance learning programs to more than 6,000 students a year! These Virtual Field Trips utilize technology, human artifacts, and animal biofacts to create world-class educational programming for students of all ages.

Educational Trunks

The Wyoming State Museum’s education trunks provide hands-on learning to more than 4,000 students each year. These trunks provide teachers with the materials to deliver engaging lessons to their students, within their own classroom. Each trunk contains human artifacts and animal biofacts from the museum’s teaching collection, along with the corresponding curricula to help teachers inspire their students.

Virtual Trunks

The Wyoming State Museum’s Education Trunks provide hands-on learning to more than 4,000 students each year. A brand-new offering for the 2023-2024 school year are our Virtual Education Trunks! These trunks have 360-degree photos of the items contained in our Education Trunks, along with descriptions of each item. This way, students from across the world can experience the trunks in their classrooms.
