A contest with a $20 prize was the humble origins of a state flag with a story traversing through women’s suffrage, immigration, and World War One.

Join us for the perfect pairing of pizza and history with Kylie McCormick, an emerging historian who loves snooping into the past to uncover meaningful stories. We’ll kick off the evening with a bit of trivia, where you’ll have a chance to compete for a $25 gift card! Then, you’ll settle in with some pizza and soda while Kylie tells the story of how our Wyoming state flag came to be.

Kylie McCormick was born and raised in Casper, then studied in Roanoke, Virginia; Berlin, Germany; London, England; and Lincoln, Nebraska. She holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, Summa Cum Laude from Hollins University and a Master of Arts degree in history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kylie uses her research to teach classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Casper College, as well as, give public presentations on Wyoming history.
